CEDAR HOUSING

This project is for the design of the full Mechanical and Electrical Systems for a 90,000 sq. ft. space which consists of a new 8-story building to be used for temporary housing and the renovation of a 4-story landmarked building to be used for support offices and community facilities for the residences of the building.
This project is currently applying for LEED Certification; therefore extensive studies were performed during the design phase to ensure the most energy efficient design within the proposed budget.
The scope of work included the design of a Geothermal System for the Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning Systems for the entire building, Electrical Power and Lighting Systems using Energy Star equipment where available, Plumbing System, Sprinkler System and approvals of the new water services with the DEP Cross Connection Control Unit.
Our office worked closely with the Architect, Client Agency and Engineering Department Reviewers from HPD to assure the project was designed as per their construction standards.
